believe, become, belong, build

How do I make a difference?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

The first step in making a difference in the world around us for God is to believe in Him! Jesus died and was resurrected and because of Him, we can now be reconciled with God the Father.

Learn more about salvation and take the first step by becoming a follower of Jesus.

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

When we receive the gift of salvation, we become a new person in Christ. From there, we become disciples of Jesus, learning from His words and example. Through study, teaching and fellowship we all grow in Christ and discipleship together. Start by reading your Bible and coming to church,  then find a group to connect with and accelerate your growth.

“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12:27

It is impossible to isolate yourself as a Christian and still live the life God has called you to live. Belonging to a church family helps you connect with God and glorify Him and it means you have people supporting you, people who know how to pray for you and how to encourage you. It gives you a place where you can make a difference and a place where you can be renewed.

“Go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19

After we believe in Jesus, become His disciple, and belong to the body of Christ, we are ready to become kingdom builders! Salvation is for everyone and Jesus has commanded us to share that good news with the world. We invite you to partner with us as we work to build the Kingdom of God. Not sure how? Start by attending our Discovery Classes and learn more about Bethel Life and finding your purpose and calling from God.

The word “Ministry” actually means “to serve” and at Bethel, it’s our joy to provide you with information, training and the support you need to grow in your gifts and fulfill your God-given potential as a disciple of Christ.

Serving is:

  • A way to grow in your relationship with God and with others.
  • A way to give back – an opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life.
  • A way to glorify God. Jesus said in Matthew 20:28 “I didn’t come to be served, but to serve”

Jesus is our example in glorifying God and showed us that simple acts of service bring glory to God and grow His kingdom in amazing ways!
