Set Apart Sermon Series

In the month of January, we are focusing on dedicating ourselves to God and invite you to join us for the series “Set Apart”

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

1 PETER 2:9

About the Daniel Fast

The 21-Day Daniel Fast is a partial fast, based on Daniel 10:2-3 in the Bible, in which Daniel says he fasted for three weeks.

The purpose of the Daniel Fast is to deprive the body from eating certain foods or giving up something that steals your time in order to draw close to God. Other benefits include increased spiritual awareness, becoming stronger in faith and building spiritual stamina through special times of prayer and Bible study.

Since this fast focuses on eating foods in their natural state, it also cleanses the body from many of the impurities introduced by all the processed food we often consume.

A typical Daniel Fast is described as avoiding any sugar, meat, preservatives, additives, fatty foods (such as butter) and caffeine. Keep in mind that there are other things that can be fasted like TV time, social media, video games or sleep.

During the fast, include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, natural grains, pure juices and water.

We ask that you please pray and ask God for direction and do what you feel is most beneficial for you. You can find more information and many recipes at ultimatedanielfast.com.

We are praying that this is a meaningful and very fruitful time and you will sincerely experience the benefits from this special season of prayer and fasting.
